Finding Calm Amid the Storm

Life is unpredictable or as some would say Life be life'n. What does that mean exactly? Life by definition can be defined in a many of ways, it's the mindset that creates its own reality. Some days feel like a breeze, with everything aligning effortlessly. Other times, it can feel like we're caught in the middle of a storm....or even a wildfire--overwhelmed by stress, uncertainty, and emotional turbulence. In those moments, finding calm can seem like an impossible task. But truth is, peace is always within reach. The key is learning how to access it, even when the world around you is chaotic. Isaiah 26:3 is a good place to start!

Here's a few tips to help you find calm amid life's storm, no matter how turbulent things may seem.

Let Go of What You Can't Control
One of the most difficult aspect's of life's storms is the realization that some things are beyond our control. Whether it's external circumstances, other people's actions, or the uncertainty of the future, the sooner we let go of the need to control everything, the sooner we can find peace. Focus on what you can control--your reactions, your mindset, and your actions. By releasing attachment to the outcome, you open yourself up to a sense of freedom. 
** Write down what's causing you stress. Separate what you can control from what you cannot. Let go of the uncontrollable and focus on taking small, manageable steps toward what you can influence. 

Practice Acceptance and Patience
Another way of finding calm amid the storm is learning to accept that challenges are part of life. Every storm has its purpose, and often, it brings growth, new perspectives, or valuable lessons. Cultivating patience with yourself and the process can allow you to move through turbulent times with more grace. Trust that you are equipped to handle whatever comes your way. 
** Practice the art of surrender. Accept that things may not always go as planned, and that's okay. Trust in your resilience and in the natural flow of life.
